[1]A woman in Oklahoma is under arrest today after being accused of trying to sell her two young children via Facebook (NASDAQ:FB[2]).
The woman — Misty VanHorn of Sallisaw, Okla. — needed the money to bail her boyfriend out of jail, the New York Daily News reports[3].
Using the social media site, VanHorn allegedly contacted a woman in Fort Smith, Ark. and tried to make a deal for her children. VanHorn is accused of offering the two kids — one 10 months old and one two years — individually or as a package. The woman could purchase the older child for $1,000 or both for $4,000.
The woman contacted the police out of concern for the children. VanHorn is now being held on $40,000 bond at the Sequoyah County Jail.
