Netflix Lands Exclusive ‘The Killing’ Deal

Netflix NFLX[1]Streaming video company Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX[2]) has landed an exclusive dea[3]l to stream season 3 of The Killing.

The hit show — which appears on AMC — will air on Netflix three months after the last show of the season debuts.

Based on the Danish series Forbrydelsen, The Killing is about a series of murder mysteries as they are investigated by a pair of homicide detectives. The third season will be available for U.S. and Canadian subscribers first, then may become available to the rest of the world.

The first two seasons are already available on Netflix in the U.S. and Canada.

“Our agreement with Netflix played an extremely significant part in the studio’s strategy that enabled us to bring The Killing back for a third season,” Fox Television‘s David Madden said.
