Honda‘s (NYSE:HMC) latest minivan comes with a feature that families with children or pets are sure to appreciate.
The 2014 Odyssey Touring Elite features an in-car vacuum cleaner, dubbed the HondaVAC. The vacuum, the result of a partnership between Honda and Shop-Vac, runs off the vehicle’s battery. It can function for eight minutes after the car is turned off and continuously while the engine is running, NBCNews notes.
In addition to the vacuum, the 2014 Odyssey features Honda entertainment system, which connects with selected smartphones. The system also provides voice-controlled access to Twitter and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) news feeds.
While minivan sales have slumped in recent years, the Odyssey remains a popular model in the class.
Shares of Honda were flat in Wednesday midday trading.
