Embattled apparel maker Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ:LULU) said on Wednesday that customers returning recalled yoga pants don’t have to demonstrate that they are too sheer in order to get a refund.
Earlier this week, a media report surfaced that a customer trying to return a pair of yoga pants at a Lululemon store had been asked to bend over to show that the pants were flawed. A Lululemon spokesperson would not comment on the reported incident to the Huffington Post, but insisted that customers returning yoga pants covered under the recall would not face any questions at all.
The company was forced to recall black yoga pants last week after it was discovered that the material was thin enough to be transparent when stretched. The pants account for about 17% of all yoga pants sold at its stores.
Shares of Lululemon slipped fractionally in Thursday midday trading.
