Superstar singer Adele recently surprised a wealthy businessman when she demanded $150,000 per minute to perform at his daughter’s wedding.
The singer — who most recently performed her hit “Skyfall” at the Oscars — asked for 2.5 million pounds to perform at the nuptials, reports Entertainmentwise.
The singer was approached by representatives of fruit juice tycoon Vivian Imerman about performing at his youngest daughter’s wedding. Imerman had Amy Winehouse play at his eldest daughter’s marriage three years ago, so he’s not shy to star power, but the demand of the equivalent of $150,000 per minute surprised him.
The millionaire — said to be worth more than $600 million — decided to pass on Adele and is looking for other entertainment options for the wedding.
Even without the wedding, Adele is in demand. She is currently considering offers to become a spokeswoman and ambassador for Dior, L’Oreal and Estee Lauder.
