Late night host Conan O’Brien is now confirmed to be on Time Warner‘s (NYSE:TWX) TBS through November 2015.
The network — which shows Conan at 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday each week — announced the extension Monday, reports USA Today.
The extension sees TBS exercising its right to keep the entire five-year contract that O’Brien signed when he agreed to host the show. It premiered in November 2010 and draws well with younger adults. A source at the network said it draws more young viewers than any other talk show.
“Conan and his colleagues at Team Coco have gone far beyond that by making Conan the top late-night brand in the digital arena,” said Michael Wright, head of programming for TBS. “We are proud to extend our relationship with Conan as he continues to forge the future of late night.
“I just wish we didn’t decide to tell him on April Fools’ Day.”
