Paul Hogan says his financial adviser took millions from his accounts.
The Crocodile Dundee star — who recently settled a tax dispute with the Australian government — claims Philip Egglishaw took off with $34 million that the star had hidden in offshore accounts, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Egglishaw — who was the alleged mastermind behind Hogan’s tax-evasion scheme — already has an international warrant out for his arrest. Hogan’s representatives have filed a criminal complain in California alleging that Egglishaw has spent most of the $34 million on himself.
In an email to Egglishaw’s lawyer, Hogan’s attorney said, “The actions of Egglishaw have now crossed the boundary of legality, and he is now engaging in criminal fraud, theft, and breach of fiduciary duty, and you are now directly aiding and abetting his criminal actions.”
Egglishaw is thought to reside in Switzerland, the same country where Hogan’s missing millions were last known to be.
