The Lamborghini Aventador — a specially built squad car — is the newest thing for police in the tiny and incredibly wealthy Persian Gulf country, reports The Independent.
The new police car has 700 horsepower and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than three seconds. At a cost of $550,000, it can reach a top speed of 217 mph to catch criminals who try to flee.
A part of a general upgrade of police vehicles in the small nation, the Aventador will not be used as a daily driver for street police. Deputy Police Director General Khamis Matter al-Muzaina said it will be used to show off to tourists and to make clear how important and classy Dubai can be.
The rest of the force will have to make due with the new Camaros the country is purchasing.
