Linkedin Contacts draws contact information from users’ email, digital address books, calendars and — of course — LinkedIn accounts, and displays contact information using filters to group contacts using various parameters. The app is currently available for devices running Apple‘s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS, but the company says it will debut a version for devices running Google‘s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android OS in the future, Wired notes.
The app does not draw contact information from Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) or Twitter accounts, which tend to focus on friends rather than business contacts.
Users can set reminders for specific contacts, including birthdays. It will also notify users when a contact changes jobs.
Earlier this month, LinkedIn purchased mobile reader Pulse for $90 million.
Shares of LinkedIn fell fractionally in Friday morning trading.
