A man in Middletown, Conn., allegedly was foiled as he tried to make off with 102 bottles of nail polish.
Employees at the local CVS pharmacy said Marco Gonzalez tried to steal the items — two different types of Essie and Sally Hansen polish — by putting the bottles in his pants, International Business Times reports.
The employees thought Gonzalez was suspicious when he entered the store. They said after they saw Gonzalez hiding the nail polish inside his pants, they reported him to the police. Gonzalez was arrested when he allegedly admitted to police that he had no plans to pay for the merchandise.
In all, the bottles are worth $865.98 retail. Gonzalez has been charged with fifth-degree larceny and the store has promised to pursue the charges. This is the third time Gonzalez has been arrested for larceny in the last two years.
