The prank — which said that Osteen was leaving his church and abandoning his faith — featured a fake website claiming to be Osteen’s own, reports ABC News.

The site hosted fake articles about Osteen and his new lack of faith. One even had a special announcement which claimed that Osteen had decided the Bible was a “fallible, flawed, highly inconsistent history book.” A Ttwitter account connected to the site has been suspended.

For his part, Osteen says he’s not angry and claims he’s mildly amused. On his decision to forgive the pranksters, he says, “You can’t stop everything from happening, but you can choose to say, ‘God, it’s in your hands.’”
