Vanilla Ice — whose real name is Robert Van Winkle — will star in the show for the DIY Network, The Oregonian is reporting.
In the show, Vanilla Ice will live with an Amish community in Ohio where he will learn the ways the Amish use to construct their homes. The new show will be a follow-up to his already successful show, The Vanilla Ice Project. That show is in its fourth season on the network and has garnered good ratings.
Vanilla Ice began renovating homes back in the 1990s when, as his music career faded, he began buying homes to renovate and flip. One led to the next, and he found he had a successful second career purchasing distressed homes and selling them after repairs were made.
