CVS[1]When Hyun Lee picked up photos from a Egg Harbor, N.J., CVS (NYSE:CVS[2]) she noticed that the clerk had written “Ching Chong Lee” on the receipt[3].

Lee is of Korean descent. She says the chain refused to fire the clerk after she complained. So she is suing CVS for $1 million over mental anguish and severe emotional distress, alleging discrimination in violation of federal law, ABC News notes.

An attorney for Lee claims that CVS did not apologize for the incident and that the employee still works at the store.

CVS declined to comment on the specifics of the case to ABC News, citing ongoing litigation. However, the company said it does not discriminate against customers.

In March, CVS drew the ire of privacy advocates with a policy that requires employees to report health data to its health insurance provider[4].

Despite news of lawsuit, shares of CVS rose more than 1% in Friday morning trading.
