Good news for Barbie lovers: the doll’s Dreamhouse is no longer just a dream.
Yes, the fictional Mattel (MAT) character’s once-plastic all-pink Mailbu house just opened a life-sized version in Berlin. It’s the second such house, as a similar one opened recently in Florida.
The house — a tourist destination dubbed the “Dreamhouse Experience” — is 2,500 square meters, full of Barbie fashion, furniture and accessories and will be open to the public for three months.
After that, it will move to other cities in Europe.
Not everyone was happy about the Dreamhouse opening, though. In fact, according to USA Today, feminist protesters far outnumbered Barbie fans at yesterday’s opening.
Some burned a doll on a cross while other shouted “pink stinks” before being removed by guards.
