Cruise ships can’t seem to catch a break.
Royal Carribean‘s (RCL) Grandeur of the Seas was evacuated on its way to the Bahamas after a fire broke out on board yesterday, reports the Associated Press. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the fire, which reportedly did not cause any injuries.
The ship was carrying more than 2,000 passengers on board, all of whom were flown home, according to the Royal Carribean Twitter account.
The Grandeur of the Seas returned to port in Baltimore today. This is the second cruise ship fire this year, after a Carnival (CCL) ship suffered an engine-room fire to much more disastrous results.
