The chain, which is owned by Focus Brands, will open 109 new franchised bakeries in the Bahamas, Brunei and India by 2019, Restaurant News notes.
Auntie Anne’s has partnered with Stellar Concepts to run and own all of the 100 bakeries planned for India. Delicious Jo Food will operate the five locations in Brunei. Four locations are planned for the Bahamas.
Auntie Annie’s currently has 363 bakeries — roughly a quarter of its eateries — located outside the U.S. So far this year, it has opened 41 locations abroad
A Focus Brands executive said that India had been “on our radar” for about five years.
