Iconic soft drink maker Coca-Cola (KO) is adding some whimsy to its international bottling plans this year.
The company is partnering with Ogilvy to make soda cans that can split in half, allowing consumers to literally share their drink, AdWeek notes.
For soda drinkers thirsting for a really cold drink, the company has also developed bottles made from ice. The chilly containers have appeared in Columbia.
Consumers can grip the icy bottles without freezing their hands by wrapping the fingers around the red Coca-Cola logo band, which is all that’s left of the bottle once it melts.
In March, beverage rival PepsiCo (PEP) unveiled the first design update to plastic Pepsi bottles in more than a decade, introducing a curved form that was meant to be easier for consumers to grip.
Shares of Coca-Cola sank modestly in Monday morning trading.
