For diners who can’t decide between doughnuts and breakfast, Dunkin’ Donuts (DNKN) has a solution.
The restaurant chain is introducing a new menu item, the “Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich,” which combines places bacon and a fried egg on a split glazed doughnut. Despite it name, the new breakfast sandwich weighs in at just 360 calories. That’s 30 calories lower than its own turkey sausage breakfast sandwich and 90 calories less than McDonald’s (MCD) “Sausage McMuffin with Egg,” the Daily News notes.
Priced at $2.99, the new sandwich tested well in Massachusetts restaurants earlier this year.
Shares of Dunkin’ Donuts fell almost 1% in Tuesday morning trading.
