Hooters is exposing something new in Slidwell, La., and it has nothing to do with what is waitresses are wearing.
The privately-held company has completed the prototype of an entirely new restaurant design that Hooters says has a “cleaner and brighter feel.” The restaurant is certainly brighter — tall windows line run the length of its exterior walls, Restaurant News notes.
Inside, diners will have an easy view of sporting events no matter where they sit. The new restaurant features 55 flat screen TVs. That includes a massive 165-inch TV wall composed of four 70-inch TVs grouped together.
A Hooters executive insisted that customers visit Hooters to watch … sports … and that televised sporting events were one of the restaurant’s biggest draws.
The 6,300-square-foot restaurant also features an expanded bar, placed near the center of the dining area.
Hooters is hoping that the walls of nearly floor-to-ceiling windows will let passersby see the fun going on inside, drawing more customers.
