Starbucks has previously adopted policies meant to cater to health-conscious consumers. It added low-calorie salads to its offerings and, three years ago, dumped high-fructose corn syrup from baked products in the face of rising concern over the sweetener’s contribution to rising obesity rates.

The calorie counts will appear in all 11,100 Starbucks locations in the U.S. While standard drinks and pastries are covered by the listings, drink additives including syrups and soy milk aren’t.

A number of restaurant chains, including McDonald’s (MCD), have recently added calorie counts to their menus in a bid to lure consumers looking to control calorie consumption.

Starbucks shares rose more than 1% in Tuesday morning trading.
