United Airlines (UAL) flight 125, from London to Houston had to make an unscheduled pit stop Thursday, when one of its Boeing (BA) 787 Dreamliners ran into technical problems involving a low oil indicator.
This is the second incident this week that had a Dreamliner land because of oil issues.
Boeing claims that the two incidents are unrelated.
“We will work with United and General Electric to complete the appropriate maintenance and testing activities, and return the airplane to service,” Boeing told Reuters. “This is not related to the issue another United airplane experienced earlier this week.”
Boeing was able to have planes back on flight schedules earlier this month after fixing issues with the plane’s batteries, but since then the 787 Dreamliners have been plagued with technical glitches.
