People who have long desired to savor the combined taste of pretzels and burgers can soon rejoice.
The Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger will appear at all Wendy’s (WEN) locations across the U.S. by early next month. The roll-out of the new burger throughout the chain’s North American locations will be completed by Independence Day weekend, Restaurant News notes.
But consumers had better snap them up fast. The Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger — which is priced at $4.69 a burger — is only planned to remain on the menu through the summer. Of course, if it generates enough sales, that time frame could be extended.
Wendy’s has been testing the new burger, which features a pretzel bun, in select locations in Ohio, Florida and California. According to reports, it was a huge hit with diners.
Shares of Wendy’s rose modestly in Tuesday morning trading.
