The Jamboree this year is the most physically demanding in history, and includes rock climbing, rappelling, whitewater rafting and biking. To top it all off the Boy Scouts will be travelling everywhere on foot.

The Jamboree will last for 10 days and there will be thousands out Boy Scouts at the event, but some Scouts aren’t able to go due to new regulations, reports Fox News.

“We required a level of fitness in order to come to the Jamboree that we haven’t required before,” Dan McCarthy, director of the BSA’s Summit Group, told Fox News. “And that has motivated an enormous return in terms of both kids and adults getting serious about improving their health.”

Boy Scouts and Leaders who wished to attend the Jamboree this year had to have a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or less to attend, reports Fox news.

This year’s Jamboree is the first to allow openly gay Boy Scouts to attend the event.
