General Motors (GM) has announced that the release of the new Chevy Cruze will be delayed until December 2015.
Originally slated for late 2014, the new Cruze is being pushed back due to engineering changes. The current model of the Cruze is still going strong, recently ranked as the second-best selling passenger car in the U.S., so GM will take advantage of the additional time to squeeze more sales out of the current Cruze.
Reuters reported Wednesday that this new model will get better fuel economy, and it will have more room both in the trunk and the passenger seats.
Additionally, the 18-month-old Chevy Malibu will be given a facelift and it will be re-released later this fall.
