J.K. Rowling has discovered who leaked her as the writer of The Cuckoo’s Calling, and she’s angry with them.
The leak came from law firm Russells. One of the firms partners, Chris Gossage, told his wife’s best friend about the secret. The woman, Judith Callegari, revealed the information to a Sunday Times journalist last week, reports The New York Times.
“I feel very angry that my trust turned out to be misplaced,” Rowling told BBC News. “To say that I am disappointed is an understatement.”
Rowling had only shared the information with a small group of people. Not even some of the writer’s oldest friends knew she had written The Cuckoo’s Calling, reports BBC News.
When it was revealed that Rowling was the author of The Cuckoo’s Calling, she claimed that writing under a pseudonym was “such a liberating experience.”
