Three people are under arrest after an grandfather discovered a pipe containing marijuana in a kid’s meal purchased from a Dundee, Ohio, Burger King (BKW) restaurant.
The unidentified man called police after discovering the drug paraphernalia in the meal meant for his 4-year-old grandson. A 23-year-old employee confessed to police that the pipe and drugs were his. Police also arrested two other young men, one of which was a former employee at the restaurant, and confiscated other drugs from a vehicle parked in the restaurant’s lot, the Toledo Blade reports.
No one is certain how the pipe and drugs ended up inside the kid’s meal.
Authorities have charged the three men with drug possession. They may face additional charges.
Last month, a California woman discovered a razor blade in a Burger King cheeseburger. Local police investigated and determined that the razor had been dropped into the burger accidentally by restaurant staff who used razors for kitchen cleaning. Burger King quickly blamed the incident on the franchise owner, insisting that its food handling policies forbid the presence of razors in its kitchens.
