Microsoft to Slash Surface RT Tablet Prices by $150

Microsoft NASDAQ:MSFT[1]Microsoft (MSFT[2]) will be cutting the price of its Surface RT tablets starting July 14[3].

Prices on all models of the Surface RT will be cut by $150. The price cuts come from low sales and efforts by Microsoft to sell the devices at lower rates elsewhere, reports The Verge.

The price cuts of Surface RT tablets is set to take place not even a week after Microsoft hinted at new models during its Worldwide Partner Conference, on Wednesday. Microsoft has been testing its Surface tablets with Snapdragon 800 processors, and also plans to release new accessories for Surface tablets, reports The Verge.
