84-Year-Old Powerball Winner Buys Million-Dollar Mansion

Multi-millionaire lottery winner Gloria MacKenzie has decided to upgrade her living situation by purchasing a $1.175 million mansion in Florida.

Back in May, MacKenzie became the winner of the $590 million Powerball jackpot after a woman let her cut in front of her in line. She walked away with a sum of $371 million, which was reduced to $278 million after taxes, and split that money with her son.

The Associated Press reports that MacKenzie’s new home, located in southeast Jacksonville, is over 6,300 square feet in size and includes five bedrooms.

MacKenzie will be moving out of her modest one-bedroom apartment in Zephyrhills into her luxurious new home, which is located in a gated golf course community.
