CVS[1]Walgreen (WAG[2]) and CVS Caremark (CVS[3]) stores will not be carrying[4] the Rolling Stone cover featuring Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

CVS announced its decision not to carry the cover on Facebook (FB[5]) Wednesday, with a post stating, “CVS/pharmacy has decided not to sell the current issue of Rolling Stone featuring a cover photo of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect,”, reports Forbes.

As of midday Thursday the Facebook post has received over 60,000[6] likes.

Walgreen followed suite today by announcing via Twitter that it also refuses[7] to carry the August issue of  Rolling Stone, reports Forbes.

The magazine cover featuring Boston bomber suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been defended [9]by Rolling Stone. The magazine claims that the controversy surrounding the cover is much like what happened over 40 years ago when it chose to feature Charles Manson on its cover.
