LYFE Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant created by former McDonald’s (MCD) executives, is planning to expand its reach.
The company is currently building its third restaurant, and plans to have 250 locations across America in the next five years. Plans to set up LYFE Kitchens in West Hollywood, Los Angeles and Irvine, Calif are currently in the works, as well as locations in Las Vegas, New York and Washington, D.C. The company will have its first franchise owned restaurant located in Chicago this October.
The first LYFE Kitchen was opened almost two years ago in Palo Alto, Calif. The second LYFE Kitchen is located in Culver City, and opened in March, reports Nation’s Restaurant News.
The fast-casual restaurant has a menu that is focused on being healthy. Meals are less than 600 calories, and contain under 1,000 milligrams of sodium, reports Nation’s Restaurant News.
LYFE Kitchen also sells frozen meals in select supermarkets across the country.
