Jamba Juice (JMBA) has started an initiative that targets children aimed at satisfying requests from parents who want better nutrition for their children. Their new food items promise to give kids full servings of vegetable and fruit without compromising the taste of their smoothies.
Ad Age reports that Jamba Juice is promoting its under-500-calorie kids’ meals alongside Walt Disney (DIS) and its upcoming movie Planes. The promotion campaign will start on July 30 and run for six weeks, which overlaps with the Aug. 9 release of the movie.
American Airlines (AAMRQ) also is involved in the project, specifically as part of its Facebook sweepstakes which will give someone a free plane ticket to the DisneyToon Studio in Los Angeles for a tour of the place.
The initiatives might be timed perfectly for Disney and American, as Jamba Juice’s highest sales come during the summer months.
