10 U.S. Cities With the Safest Drivers

Allstate (ALL[2]) released its ninth annual “Allstate America’s Best Drivers Report”[3] on Tuesday. The report is based on Allstate claims data. It ranks America’s 200 largest cities based off of frequency of collisions to find the cities with the safest drivers.
- Fort Collins, Colo. – Drivers are 28.2% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Fort Collins will have a collision once every 13.9 years.
- Boise, Idaho – Drivers are 28.0% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Boise will have a collision once every 13.9 years.
- Sioux Falls, S.D. – Drivers are 21.8% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Sioux Falls will have a collision once every 12.8 years.
- Brownsville, Texas – Drivers are 21.1% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Brownsville will have a collision once every 12.7 years.
- Madison, Wis. – Drivers are 20.3% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Madison will have a collision once every 12.5 years.
- Reno, Nev. – Drivers are 20.2% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Reno will have a collision once every 12.5 years.
- Huntsville, Ala. – Drivers are 20.1% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Huntsville will have a collision once every 12.5 years.
- Visalia, Calif. – Drivers are 18.5% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Visalia will have a collision once every 12.3 years.
- Montgomery, Ala. – Drivers are 16.3% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Montgomery will have a collision once every 11.9 years.
- Eugene, Ore. – Drivers are 16.2% less likely to have a collision when compared to the national average. On average, a driver in Eugene will have a collision once every 11.9 years.
