The show must be really, really good.
Cable subscribers and fans of the popular AMC TV series Breaking Bad — a tale of a former teacher turned meth kindpin — decided the best course of action after a cable outage was to call 911 and demand that the police do something about it.
Subscribers in southern Connecticut lost cable service right before a new episode was set to air on Sunday. Police received a wave of calls requesting help with their service.
Service was down for two hours.
The Fairfield Police Department on Facebook and reminded TV watchers that cable service was 1) not their problem and 2) “neither an emergency or a police related concern.”
And just for good measure added that 911 abuse can result in an arrest.
Cablevision issued a statement blaming a power outage.
