We still don’t know who will be in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, but the latest names connected to the film include a 21 Jump Street actress and the star of Pacific Rim.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam might be playing Anastasia ‘Ana’ Steel and Christian Grey a year from now. Comcast’s (CMCSA) Universal Studios responded to these rumors by saying that it is not planning on making any casting offers for the Fifty Shades of Grey film at the moment.
23-year-old Dakota — daughter of movie stars Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith – has been in a number of movies over the last four years including The Social Network, Beastly and The Five-Year Engagement. Actor and screenwriter Hunnam has been in several successful movies and TV shows including Children of Men and Sons of Anarchy.
The Fifty Shades of Grey series has sold over 70 million books worldwide and dethroned Harry Potter as the fastest-selling paperback of all time. Last month, Universal Studios announced that the movie is set for an August 1, 2014 release.
