Bang With Friends, a controversial app that allows Facebook (FB[1]) users to hookup anonymously, has a new name[2] on the Apple (AAPL[3]) marketplace.

Bang With Friends, which was banned from the iOS App Store in May, is back. The company changed the name of its app to “Down.” The app has removed all references to the word bang. Iphone users will select “I’m Down” when agreeing to hookup with someone rather than “down to bang.” The app is free to both iPhone and Android users. The app is still named Bang With Friends on Android devices and the web. There is no word from Bang With Friends on if they plan to change its name on those platforms as well, reports Headlines & Global News.

Zynga (ZNGA[4]) filed a lawsuit[5] against Bang With Friends at the end of July, claiming that it infringes upon its “With Friends” brand of games.
