Always up for bashing Fox News, The Daily Show slammed the network’s coverage of fast-food worker strikes for increased wages — then joked that the workers should indulge in some “special sauce” payback.
Fill-in host John Oliver mocked Fox’s Andrea Tantaros for saying that striking fast-food workers would receive higher wages if the “Obama economy” was stronger.
“Because that’s how capitalism works,” Oliver joked. “Companies always pass on higher profits to their lower-level workers.”
At the end of his segment, he said if the striking workers want some payback, there is always a way.
