A married banker with Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) was arrested on Thursday and charged with the rape of a 20-year-old woman in East Hampton.
Jason Lee, 37, posted a $20,000 bail and was released by the East Hampton Town Police Department. He had been reportedly renting the home where the alleged attack occurred.
Mr. Lee is a managing director in Goldman Sachs’s equity capital markets group, which handles initial public offerings. He is on leave following his arrest, an official at the bank said.
Edward Burke Jr., a lawyer for Mr. Lee, said his client “adamantly denies the allegations levied against him.”
Lee had rented the house through August at a cost of $33,000 for the month.
He is scheduled to appear in court on September 19.
