Hertz (HTZ) is giving its retail locations a makeover.
Hertz retail locations will have hosts that can point customers in the right direction, iPad stations that will allow customers to charge their devices while researching the local area, printers and FedEX (FDX) services. The locations will also offer certain products for purchase. The products include sunscreen, beach bags, charging cords and extra luggage, which are items that travelers normally forget to buy or leave at home. Hertz plans to remodel all 8,800 of its locations by 2015. The company has already updated 800 of its locations with the new services and features, reports Media Post.
Hertz announced in June that it plans to expand its neighborhood locations from 2,600 to 12,000 in the next few years.
Despite plans to update retail locations HTZ shares fell 1% as of midday Thursday.
