Luxury Toilet Owners, Consider Yourselves Warned

Japan-based LIXIL (JSGRY) has made waves recently with its Satis toilets which offer massages, an automatic flushing system, a heated seat and several other features for those who can afford it. However, it appears that the luxury toilet has a hole in its design.

Fox News reports that anyone’s smart toilet can be hacked easily by using the Android app it comes with. The app has a hard-coded Bluetooth PIN of 0000 which means that anyone with the application can use it to access any toilet.

It’s hard to tell what hackers would do after hacking into a toilet since there isn’t much they can gain from doing so. However, tapping into someone else’s Satis would give the hacker power to flush it repeatedly, move their seat up and down, or even heat up their seat to an uncomfortable temperature.
