The upcoming James Brown biopic will be produced by Mick Jagger who also plans on making a cameo in the movie.
The Telegraph reports that the singer of The Rolling Stones will work alongside The Help director Tate Taylor to make a movie about the Godfather of Soul. The role of James Brown will be played by Chadwick Boseman who played Jackie Robinson in the baseball player’s biopic 42.
Taylor is considering bringing back some of the cast of The Help such as Oscar winner Octavia Spencer to play supporting roles in the movie.
Brown passed away at age 73 in 2006 from pneumonia. He is considered to be one of the greatest musicians of all time, ranking 7th on Rolling Stone magazine’s 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
