Netflix (NFLX) has announced plans to release a new feature called ‘My List’ that is set to replace the Instant Queue list.
According to the company’s official blog, the new list will be show up on the home screen and it will automatically sort out what movies and TV shows you might want to watch next. The feature is expected to be available to U.S. and international users within the next two weeks.
My List will follow the algorithm that Netflix uses to create recommendations for each user and combine it with the self-selected Instant Queue list. In essence, Netflix’s new feature lets you add items to My List and automatically puts the movies and shows that the user might enjoy the most at the top.
The company created My List after conducting a survey that revealed that many customers find Instant Queue to be a useful tool. The improved list also includes more details on each item including a special tag for TV shows that have new seasons and notifications for movies that will only be available for a limited time.
Earlier this month, Netflix launched another feature that allows users to create up to five different personalized profiles on the same account.
