Sorry, Target … This Country’s Consumers Don’t Like You

Costco leads survey in customer satisfaction


A poll revealed that Target (TGT) has failed to make a good first impression on Canada after much anticipation from consumers.

CBC News reports that a survey conducted by Forum Research revealed that only 27% of customers are ‘very satisfied’ with their experience shopping at Target. There were five months of anticipation and hype surrounding the retailer’s launch in Canadian markets, but so far it’s failed to impress.

Among 8 retailers, Target was the lowest-ranked retailer in customer satisfaction. Costco (COST) was at the other end of the spectrum with 62% of consumers giving the retailer positive reviews.

A week ago, the American retailer announced plans to release a line of chocolates with Lindt meant for children.
