Twitter’s video-sharing application Vine has now reached the 40 million users plateau since it was first released back in January.
HNGN reports that the popularity of the application has skyrocketed since June, jumping from 13 million to 40 million users within the last two months. Vine’s innovative videos are six-second snippets that many have been using to get a quick laugh.
The app was first released for iPhone upon release, but Android users can also use the growing app now. Although Twitter’s latest venture is doing better than ever, it has yet to catch up with Facebook’s (GOOG) video sharing application which has over three times as many users.
Vine may be the latest fad in the video streaming market, but companies are constantly trying to find new and original ways to stream video.
