Amazon Lockers Booted From Staples, RadioShack

Staples (SPLS[1]) and Radioshack (RSH[2]) announced that they will no longer allow Amazon (AMZN[3]) to set up lockers in their locations.

Consumerist reports[4] that the stores were allowing customers to pick up their Amazon packages in their stores, but the deal between the companies didn’t work as well as they expected. Both retailers said that they will no longer reserve a space for Amazon packages in their stores as the new program interrupted with their sales.

A spokesperson for RadioShack said that the deal obstructed the company’s decision to reduce in-store clutter and it affected their sales as a result. The Staples president for North America simply said that the deal didn’t meet the criteria they set up together without going into detail.
