Facing competition from the Emmys, NFL football and the series finale of Showtime’sDexter, AMC‘s (AMCX) Breaking Bad brought in 6.6 million viewers, breaking its own record for largest audience.
Among adults 18-49, the series was also at a high, with 4.3 million viewers. It also scored with adults 25-54, averaging 3.7 million viewers.
The series seems poised to outdo itself again with next week’s series finale. After returning to huge year-to-year gains with the start of its final eight episodes, Breaking Bad has raised the bar twice more in the last month.
