Jaylen Bledsoe, 15, started his own tech company when he was 13 years old.
That company, Bledsoe Technologies, is now worth about $3.5 million. The company mostly handles web design and other IT services. Bledsoe Technologies started out with just two employees, but now there are about 150 contracted employees working for the company. Despite all of his success, Bledsoe is still focusing on high-school activities. He is has been the president of the Student Council as well as the Parent Teacher Student Association, and also acts as the chief technology officer of a local volunteer program. Bledose advises young entrepreneurs to take risk. He says that being a minor means that there isn’t much that can hold a young person down for too long, reports The Huffington Post.
Bledose’s next project is to create an app that will let users check into hotels online and use their phones to unlock their rooms.
