Dr Pepper to Give Away $1M in College Tuition

Dr Pepper will choose four $100,000 winners from video submissions

Dr Pepper (DPS) has pledged to help college students pay for their education as part of its Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway promotion.

Students have a chance of getting part of the company’s $1 million giveaway by submitting a story about themselves and why they deserve to win a prize. Dr Pepper is giving out four grand prizes of $100,000 and several smaller awards of $20,000, $10,000, $2,500 and daily $1,000 prizes.

College students 18 and older can submit a short statement on detailing why they need the financial aid. The five stories that receive the most votes will result in $10,000 to go towards the winners’ tuitions.

Those between the ages of 18 and 24 who submit statements and receive 50 or more votes will be invited to submit a 60-second video to the same website. Dr Pepper will choose four winners from these videos and give out $100,000 to each of them during four college football events: the Dr Pepper ACC Championship, the Big Ten Championship, the Pac-12 Championship and SEC Championship games.
