The Gap Logo[1]Gap (GPS[2]) started airing TV ads on Monday[3] after taking a 4-year break from television.

The retail store has two news ad that feature children of famous musicians preforming their parents’ songs. The first commercial features Alexa Ray Joel, who sings Billy Joels’ Just The Way You Are while playing the piano. The other ad has Dhani Harrison singing and playing George Harrison’s For You Blue on the guitar. The ads are promoting Gap’s “Back to Blue” campaign for its denim selection. The two commercials were shot in single takes and featured minimal editing. The ads will run around events that include NFL football games, the American Music Awards and premieres of popular shows until Oct. 13., reports Bloomberg.

“We’ve been spending a lot of time really looking at what an iconic brand does and how it acts,” Seth Farbman, Gap’s Chief Marketing Officer, told Ad Age[4]. “And, as we often do, we were looking backwards, in order to go forwards.”
