George Zimmerman is in the spotlight once again after his wife — Shellie Zimmerman — called 911 in Lake Mary, Florida and said that he threatened to shoot her and her father.
ABC News reports that Shellie will not press charges on him after he punched her father in the nose and threatened to shoot both of them. Following the 911 call, the police showed up with eight units wearing tactical gear with ballistic shields.
Zimmerman — who was recently found not guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin — said that he was acting in a “defensive manner” and offered to hand over surveillance tapes to the police. The police didn’t find a gun on Zimmerman but they are reviewing the surveillance tapes before deciding whether or not to press charges.
Shellie said that she was “really, really scared” in the 911 call and added that her husband punched her father in the nose, smashed her iPad and said he’d shoot her and her father if they took another step towards him.
