Jimmy Kimmel Says Kanye West Twitter War Not a Hoax

Jimmy Kimmel, confirmed on his Thursday show[1], that his Twitter war with Kanye West was not a joke.

According to Kimmel, West called him to complain about a skit that Kimmel ran during his Tuesday show about an hour and a half before his Thursday show. The skit was a parody of a interview of West by BBC. The parody has two kids reenacting the interview and according to Kimmel, its was “pretty innocuous.” After the call, Kimmel received more than half-a-dozen angry Tweets from West. Many of the Tweets contained profanity and were mocking of Kimmel. Kimmel responded to the Tweets during his show on Thursday with, “Finally, I’m in a rap feud. I always wanted to be in a rap feud.” West has demanded that Kimmel make a public apology for the skit, reports the Associated Press.

The Daily Mail[2] has collected some of West’s best quotes from his interview with BBC. These quotes include:

“When someone comes up and says something like, “I am a god,” everybody says “Who does he think he is?” I just told you who I thought I was. A god. I just told you. That’s who I think I am,” and “I’ve got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity…and I’ve been at it for 10 years.”
